[Series 11] Publication Files
Creator: Starfield, Barbara, 1932-2011
The Starfield collection contains materials pertaining to many of Starfield’s published articles, editorials, and books, as well as book chapters and some unpublished papers. Materials include clippings; copies of commentaries on articles written by Starfield and her responses; correspondence with colleagues, publishers, and researchers; research study data and data analyses; paper drafts; galley proofs; notes; and peer reviews. Correspondence includes letters from former president Bill Clinton and Clinton’s senior advisor for Policy Development, Ira C. Magaziner pertaining to the Clinton Task Force materials. A citation for the publication to which the materials pertain is included as a scope note at the folder level, except for manuscripts that were never published.
Materials are arranged into sub series by type of publication including journal articles, books and monographs, chapters, and editorial commentaries. There are also sub series for articles that have not been peer reviewed, commissioned reports, and website publications. This organization reflects the publication section of Starfield’s syllabus. In addition there are sub series for papers that were never published, reprints, and a general file that includes publications-related materials that have not been sorted by publication.
