This series contains photographs received as part of the John J. Abel Collection. Included in the collection are photographs documenting Abel's education at the University of Michigan and in Germany, work at Johns Hopkins, photographs of colleagues and family, and travel photographs. Some of the photographs date from after Abel's death and were possibly added to the collection for exhibit purposes.
