[Article 56:4] Management of Emotional Factors in the Family Care of Chronic Illness. — October 1957

Chronically ill patients frequently do better living at home. This presents the need for better instruction of families by "home care" nurses in the physical care of the patients and also the emotional needs of the family. The article tells of the need for a combination of good physical care, accurate and consitent health teaching, and an excellent rapport with patient and family.
