The bulk of these materials are research data on fatal injuries for The Injury Fact Book (by Baker et al.) in the form of computer printout tables, including: NCHS data on death rates by cause, race, sex, age, place (state), per capita income, and urbanization from 1977-1979; CPSC death certificate files on deaths of infants under age two from children’s products, 1979-1984; coal accident and injury abstract, 1980-1984; & partially identified tables on deaths from various causes, 1986. Other documents include a news clipping on the topic of hiking gear, 1982; a UNC HSRC report: “Accident Research Manual,” 1980; a Conference program for the Child Health Behavior: Behavioral Pediatrics Conference, 1983 (Baker was a conference speaker on the subject of “Behavior and Childhood Injury: The Need to test Our Assumptions”); & a National Highway Safety Bureau publication, “Analysis of Motor Vehicle Accidents Involving Air Force Personnel, 1969.”
There are also ten 8x10 inch undated and unlabeled photographs.
